Sharp’s Brewery based near the Camel Estuary in Rock, is delighted to once again be sponsoring the annual Padstow to Rock swim on Sunday 31st July.
Last year’s swimmers raised a massive £70,100 to support Marie Curie nurses in Cornwall, and this year swimmers are invited make an ever bigger splash!
Sharp’s Brewery Senior Brand Manager, James Nicholls, said, “The Padstow to Rock swim is such an integral part of the local community calendar here on the Camel Estuary and we are always honoured to provide support alongside the other sponsors. It is inspiring to see the 350 or so swimmers take on the mile-long open water swim which is very challenging - I know, having done it myself. The organisers and the vital volunteer support team that help to make this happen each year do such a fantastic job and it is always a great event to watch. Sharp’s are also entering a team in the swim so please do come down and cheer us, and all the other swimmers, on”.
The swimmers depart from the Padstow slipway at the start of the Camel Trail and swim the mile to the RNLI slipway on Rock Beach. A BBQ and Sharp’s bar will be open to everyone at the finish line in Rock, giving the swimmers and supporters an opportunity to catch up and celebrate their achievements.
