Brewing Team Members

Join Sharp's as a Brewing Team Member, and you'll bring your skills and expertise to a company that's in the midst of an exciting period of growth. Sharp's Brewery is a modern brewer of cask-conditioned beer, which has grown rapidly since its foundation in 1994 to become the largest brewer of cask beer in the south-west. We've recently joined the global Molson Coors group - which will mean a huge range of exciting new possibilities for our brands and our people alike.
We currently have a vacancy for a Brewing Team Member (Day Shift) and 3 Brewing Team Members (Night Shift). When you come on board, you'll become an expert on all aspects of production. That's going to involve maintaining standards and quality in the brewery and continually improving our performance in terms of health and safety. It's a great opportunity to roll up your sleeves and produce quality beers that appeal to all.
When you join us as a Brewing Team Member you will:
* Operate specified equipment efficiently
* Be responsible for all aspects of product quality
* Comply with all health and safety working practices
* Plan work to meet quality, cost and customer service targets
* Actively share your experience, knowledge and skills with the team
For the position of Brewing Team Member, we're looking for someone with good numerical skills, strong attention to detail and outstanding interpersonal skills. You'll need to be a motivated team player with a positive attitude to change, balanced with the flexibility needed to meet production plans. And because this is a physically demanding role, a high level of physical fitness is required.

Technical Brewer (permanent)
Salary: £35,000 + benefits
Start Date: ASAP
Job Type: Permanent
Location: Rock, Cornwall
At Sharp's Brewery, our vision is simple. By producing extraordinary brands that delight beer drinkers, we're aiming to build a reputation as a leading modern brewer of cask-conditioned beers. Founded in 1994, we've recently joined the global Molson Coors group - which will mean a huge range of exciting new possibilities for our brands and our people alike.
Technical Brewer (Permanent)
Production is currently at 220,000hl per year and is expected to be at 300,000hl by 2013. Reporting to the Head Brewer you will be responsible for:
• All aspects of product quality
• Setting and monitoring production specifications
• Managing production processes
• Contributing to the team implementing new technologies
• Contributing to the team managing the operators
• Managing the QA lab
• Managing trade quality with the Trade Quality Brewer
Due to the fast paced environment at Sharp's the successful candidate will need to be dynamic and able to demonstrate commitment, focus and teamwork.
