The Project

The Doom Bar Big Wave Project was conceived by two Cornish surfers Dan 'Mole' Joel and Sam Lamiroy. Their goal is to surf the biggest waves in the British Isles. From the Hebrides to Cornwall, West Ireland to the North Sea, these giant waves can be so extreme that the surfers need to be towed in by jet-ski. In support of this brave Cornish initiative Sharp's has provided the surfers with a Doom Bar Jet Ski.

About Mole - Mole holds the British Isles big wave record having conquered fifty footer at 'Aileens' off the West of Ireland in October '06. Mole's amazing achievement was rewarded with an entry into the world wide 'Billabong XXL' contest alongside some of the best big wave surfers in the world.
